Award-winning KSBG TV 17 is the educational access television station for the San Benito Consolidated Independent School District. The station officially went “on-the-air” November 2, 1998, via Time Warner Communication’s Cable System.

The station provides district news and information, highlights student achievement, educational and instructional programs, staff development, and provides entertainment programs to members of the San Benito community. We encourage loyal viewers to tune-in to our educational television station to see what’s happening in the San Benito schools and in the community!

KSBG TV currently cable casts an electronic bulletin board with news and information from the school district, the City of San Benito, the San Benito Chamber of Commerce, and other community entities.

We air programs that we produce locally. These programs feature information from the various programs provided to students, individual campus highlights and video news releases of activities and events. We also cover special events like the District Spelling Bee, sporting events, Board of Trustees Meetings, Band and Choir Concerts, Mariachi presentations, graduation, to name a few! Choral and/or band concerts, sporting events and various conference and meetings are presented according to season.

“SportsBeat”
SportsBeat has become the premiere sports show in the Rio Grande Valley due to innovative and creative graphics and the team effort demonstrated by the award-winning crew members.

“School Matters”
This show is designed to highlight areas of interest related to school and campus news events and school-related matters.

“Community Showcase”
This show is designed to showcase interesting and unique individuals and programs that can be found in our community and school district.

“Healthier U News”
Award-winning KSBG-TV 17, in conjunction with the district’s Child Nutrition Program, have teamed up to introduced “Healthier U News,” a program aimed at providing valuable information to students, staff and community regarding nutrition, health and wellness.
