Homecoming Parade

San Benito High School Student Council will sponsor the annual Homecoming Parade, which will get underway beginning at 5:30 PM downtown San Benito on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015.

The parade will travel northbound on Sam Houston Boulevard, beginning at the intersection of South Sam Houston Boulevard and Brooks Street and ending at the intersection of North Sam Houston Boulevard and Adele Street.

The entry costs is $10 per entry for marching/walking group, $10 for cars, trucks or other vehicles not pulling trailer and $20 for floats, including trucks with trailers. Please make checks payable to SBHS Student Council.

Parade Rules and Restrictions:

All entries must obtain permission for each participant. (Permission slips should remain with sponsors)

Drivers must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance at the Parade Site.

All entries must be SBCISD school related organizations*
*Exception: City of San Benito Parks and Recreation Department Sports Teams

Entries must be in, or near their assigned space no later than their assigned time. Times will be given to you on Tuesday, October 27th. Please adhere to this schedule to avoid traffic jams.

No live animals may be included in or as part of any entry.

For the safety of the children, entries are NOT ALLOWED to toss or hand out candy or any other items during the parade. Students are NOT ALLOWED to ride on the top or on the hood of vehicles. If riding in a convertible or a vehicle with a sunroof, student’s feet must be secured inside the vehicle.

ENTRY FORMS MUST BE RETURNED BEFORE 4:30 PM THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2015.
**Entries turned in after this time but before 4:30 PM Friday, October 23 will be subject to a doubled fee ($20/$40) to accommodate for the extra work required to adjust the parade order. Parade assignments (numbers) will be assigned by the SBHS Student Council. Contact Persons will be notified by TUESDAY. OCTOBER 27th, 2015.
