2013 Sounds of the Season

KSBG-TV 17 is currently airing the 2013 Sounds of the Season video production, which features a variety of fine arts groups, including band and school choirs at the elementary, middle school and secondary level.

The locally produced video is available to Time Warner Cable subscribers via the district’s Channel 17 educational television station.  Residents who do not have access to cable can view the performances on the district’s YouTube channel.

“Every year, we coordinate efforts with all of our campuses and encourage participation,” said Celia Longoria, the district’s Director of Communications.  “KSBG-TV 17 staff takes great pride in showcasing the talents of our accomplished performers and musicians in our district. We do this so that our community can enjoy these outstanding performances this special time of year.”

This year’s set features multiple Christmas trees, with a gingerbread theme serving as the focal point.  KSBG-TV 17 crew members suspended three beautifully decorated wreaths and white-colored snowflakes to further accent the set, which also features ceramic figurines such as carolers and Christmas-themed pieces.

“Students and staff members have been preparing for their special performances since early on in the school year,” Longoria said.  “We appreciate their participation each year.  All of our staff members take great pride in showcasing our talented performers of all ages.  We hope our community enjoys their outstanding performances.”
